Ranked teams who are overrated

Next week the top ten will only have seven teams in it, and the top 25 will only have 18.

Some should not be ranked….others are ranked too high. You think Bama can’t beat Penn State?

Disagree big time here. It's nice to hit the restroom without missing any game time at a home game, call the family members who couldn't make it, drink a beer, and use the restroom again. For away games on tv the half time grass cut is banger for keeping the misses happy. Hard to pull that off on a Sunday.

well then you get a 3 hour and 45 minute game then. if that's your thing, college football is for you.

My point is more so that he isn't ranking teams in terms of who is the best. In his poll, the undefeateds are most worthy of his top 7 by virtue of being undefeated. The fact that we are second lowest ranked of the undefeateds means if we lose 1 game, we will drop very far in his rankings because we will probably also be considered one of the weaker 1 loss teams -- if we lose, it's not like we will drop from 6 to 9 or 10. It will be much lower than that.

Connelly released his updated college football playoff rankings today.

These aren’t his rankings per se, but the formula he has played around with using various inputs that he has found largely mirrors the actual CFP rankings.

He has Pitt at 18.

So there really is no margin for error at this point.
