agree, but I thought the receiver also didn't set up the block at all and there IS an awareness of how to do that but needs to happen quickly in real time with those playsMy friend was bitching at the game about that play call. And I said you know, if our tight end that everyone seems to love could have just thrown a block there that play could have gone for huge yardage. Instead he completely misses the block and the receiver gets buried behind the line of scrimmage.
some times where the QB places the ball changes everything with those plays, and at times unintentionally an "off line" pass fortuitously sets one up by chance(not often)
