Meyers to PSU showed how delusional that bunch is.
My response to sanction is that sanctions does not explain the decline of Hackenberg. It doesn't explain bad clock management, bad game day coaching, assistants leaving for lateral positions, leaving in starters ( like Hackenberg) when the game has already been decided, etc....
Seems to be especially true for the ones that actually went to school at PSU, like Gorman.

I mean... really... it was. I actually like Gormans writing, one of the few I do like, but this is over-the-top. throwing in a penn state recruit that has arms as big as my 10 year old that isnt relevant at all to his article is just stunningly stupid.
I think he needs reprimanded for something like that.
First off writing about Recruiting is not Rocket Science and he has been losing credibility for a long time, can't really do much more with his life's vocation. So he resorts to controversy and making up his need for attention with lack of information, for example Thorpe's Father went to Penn State. Why wouldn't his son end up there?
Narduzzi will build Pitt into a Top 25 Team and Program and Gorman will still lack credibility for a longer time!
The article is his reprimand, he can't do worse and hurts himself and fears Pitt's Narduzzi as a PSU Alum.

He sells lies to his recruits, has not yet been offered an extension, had coaches jumping ship on him to get out of that hole, and most of all, comes off as a complete jackass on game day. You Are Correct Sir. A number of PSU fans I was with in Scranton this week admitted to me privately they wish Narduzzi was at PSU and reminds them of Paterno Type of Personality and Coaching. I am not talking about any Scandal just Paterno's own Coaching and being the CEO of the PSU Program. i always separate Paterno's coaching from what happen at Penn State, and not trying to bring it up. Just saying, Paterno' full focus in his life was coaching Football and he loved it, and so does Narduzzi is my only point and some PSU fans and alums agreed with me. Others can differ to with no offense taken.

Agree and one can see it how Narduzzi handles, evaluates, and develop his MSU & PITT Recruits and Players. I very much saw that when he stayed in the Dorm last year getting to know his Players. Keeps them focus on being better and his coaching has not been seen at Pitt since 1980s.

I respect Franklin as Man, Husband and Father and he is great for a Program like Vanderbilt, but those same PSU Alums feel the same about him as you describe and told me Higher Ups are on a wait and see attitude with him. Penn State has given him everything he needs to wins big at PSU but he needs he can coach on the Top 25 level in the Big Ten East. Like you said, Jimmy Franky can recruit, but his Staff and System were in shambles and it was not due to Sanctions but his coaching?

Gorman's Article was meant to be petty and reflects on him alone as being petty.
