I just wanted to reiterate, that even with all the frustration towards the difficult start and especially certain aspects of it (cough, defensive personnel uses and "scheme" , Second Half Offensive Woes lol we all know) --- I 150% support and appreciate all the players on this Pitt Panthers Squad and hope for their absolute utmost success.
I know we all feel that way -- and I wouldn't want that to get lost in any frustration over "Other Aspects" of the Program that are really irking so many heavily Invested Pitt Football Fans.
Even if the Football Team finishes with a 0-12 record, I would be so proud of the Players if they play with everything they have, and try as hard as they possibly can -- that's all that matters.
I know all those guys gave all they had, and poured their hearts into building themselves in the Weight Room and Strength and Conditioning, and are trying as hard as they can to master the systems and execute what the coaches are giving them to run.
Obviously, not that they're seeking any approval from some rando stranger fan / message board poster lol: But I think this is just an awesome group of young Men, with great personalities who I hope succeed mightily in life -- maybe even hopefully get their shots and succeed in the NFL --> but moreso just in all endeavors they pursue!
Hail to THE University of Pittsburgh!
Hail to the Young Men playing for the Pitt Panthers!
Head Coach and Coaching Staff!! Ummm, yeah ----- I have some personal notes to share that I think might be constructive, but we all know the issues here. From the top down, before even schemes / gameday prep / personnel uses / etc. -- a good start would be to not create and promote these crazy Expectations to your whole fanbase: that you have a young Teddy Bridgewater at QB, that your defense is gonna be dominant, and almost shot-calling going to the ACC Title game. Be All-In, 110% behind the scenes and just keep expectations as low for the fans so you don't create a Hype Bubble like the Head Honcho created this pre-season.
All I'm saying is -- the frustration is NOT at all towards the players who have built themselves as athletes in the weight room and Training, and are playing all-in out there. It's the Grown Men, highly compensated, who are slacking this year.
Let's Go Pitt, always!
