Just wanted to share something cool I learned last weekend. I was at a friend's wedding and met a couple whose daughter was recruited and committed to play at Pitt. Who it is and what sport really doesn't matter. What does matter is they told me that when they visited campus they had an amazing time and even got to sit down with Chancellor Gallagher. Mark Nordenberg stopped in for a quick chat as well. Both did their part to recruit her. This was the first I've heard of something like this not related specifically to football.
They said they were completely blown away at how they were treated. She had other legit offers, but their experience while visiting went far in making Pitt the choice.
We've heard that Gallagher is all in and he wants to make the success start with football. We've also heard him say the University has to strive for excellence in all sports, not just football. This story was pretty eye opening to me. Just another example of why it's easy to believe in everything going on with Pitt Athletics these days.
