Many have expressed concern over the fact that Ruben Flowers' commitment may have taken Mathews' spot in Pitt's 2016 class. I don't believe this is the case.
Do you really think the staff would do this to a local player who is at a pipeline school, plays with Lamont Wade, and has multiple P5 offers?
Pitt currently has WRs on the roster that really may never see the field (Weah, Wuestner, Challingsworth, Ivery, etc.). It's reasonable to expect that at least 1-2 of these guys transfer out of Pitt if the staff believes that Mathews and Flowers are more talented.
