....regardless of whatever happens it will be an immensely positive game for this Pitt team going forward. As a coach Jamie should be able to use the information he gathers from a opponent like Gonzaga to really help mature this Pitt team.
Gonzaga plays much like Pitt in the sense that they always are extremely unselfish & fundamentally sound. We need to get back to playing old school Pitt defense to frustrate Gonzaga out of their normally west coast style of ball(meaning they dislike being physically pounded upon).
We need to be chucking them as they cut thru the lanes, putting aggressive bodies on everyone going for rebounds, diving & attacking any & every loose ball, etc. These are things that show up daily regardless if the offensive game has gone cold.
But let's make no mistake Gonzaga always comes ready to play, they will be a great opponent for this time of the year. I really cannot wait regardless of the outcome. It's what is the best thing for Pitt Basketball going forward.
