ACC Schedule Coming Soon

In the NFL that makes sense because Buffalo has just as much access to talent thanks to the salary cap and the draft.

The best of each region doesn’t make sense in college football. The college football world doesn’t want the winner of UCONN-Cuse-BC-Rutgers-Pitt to be a playoff team.

Talent just isn’t distributed equally across regions for that.
Why'd you leave your under .500 team out of the mix of mediocre Northeast CFB squads?

Rivalries and the pageantry are what separates college from other sports. I think they're important whether they have a national following or not to each fan base. I know I miss the Backyard Brawl and it was always the game I looked forward to most no matter the records.

The Brawl is coming back in 22 for 4 years isn't it?

One thing people forget when suggesting eliminating divisions is that the real purpose of the format isn't the championship game itself. The point of having divisions is so that more teams are brought into the title race, since you are only competing against 6 other teams for a title game berth, rather than all 13. Mire teams in the title race makes the inventory more marketable for broadcasters.
I get that but the ACC is a very unique conference in that there are so few natural rivalries that the division set up drastically limits the % of games with any interest. Division less you can select a number of permanent rivals and rotate the rest faster. 14 teams means you can have 3 permanent rivals and the other 10 teams are 5 and 5 rotated each year.

FSU - Miami, Clemson, GT
Pitt I would guess: BC, Cuse, VT

I have see the argument that rivals need to be evenly matched competitively.. Yes FSU playing Miami Clemson each year while Pitt plays Cuse and BC is not balanced.. However if you consider your rivals as being weak that means the 10 rotating teams are likly stronger then the ten FSU would rotate with.. it balances out somewhat.

Key team me is not hyper focusing on balance and divisions but just better games, better TV.

This year was awesome in my view.

Yep.
I’m not sure 3 permanent rivals are needed. The more permanent games, the more imbalance in scheduling you’re going to get. Like your FSU and Pitt example. That would be a tough sell.

But it just takes a small adjustment to make it work. And it’s far better than the current setup.

I think you need some stability.. and to get the largest number of interesting games on TV you have to have the few rivalries in the conference on every year. FSU has to play Miami and Clemson every year for sure.. NCState/UNC, UVA/VT.. there are some that might not be considered rivalries that I think could be.. like FS/GT, Pitt BC seems natural as another.
