I have fond memories of attending games with my pops at the Field House and then later in his nose bleed section seats while I was a student at Pitt. Now that I live out of state, we can't enjoy as many games together, but we still like calling each other after big games to recap the performance.

In a couple weeks for my dads 60th, we are meeting in DC and hope to snag a few tickets for one or two of the Pitt games at the Verizon Center for the ACC tournement. Anyone have any tips for scoring a couple of tickets? We don't want to buy the strip for the entire tournament. Is scalping our best option? Thanks in advance:)

Are you aware there's a trading post forum on pantherlair? Post there see what happens.

And ignore snarky posts like the one by the idiot above me.

You'll know Pitt's first game in advance, and since it is almost certainly Wednesday, you can probably buy that relatively cheap on StubHub. It gets a little harder to figure out subsequent games, but you can try to buy them from fans of teams that lost. Since I don't think anyone is expecting Pitt to play in the final, scalping a Thursday ticket on the street isn't a bad idea.

SeanMillerFan, yes I've heard of stubhub but I've never used it.
King and Levance, thanks for the info!
