They currently forecast us to have an RPI of 79 and a 15-16 record.... so we'll have to overperform those expectations.

But 7th-hardest schedule in the country means plenty of opportunities for signature wins.
 
A 15-16 record would mean they have Pitt losing like 14 of their 18, just guesstimating, conference games or losing an unusual amount of non-conference games. Hopefully, they are way off on this record.

RealtimeRPI has them going 9-9 in conference.

It's silly to look at these things after 4 games though. The computer numbers mean very little until mid to late January, when you've played enough games, including conference games, for them to stabilize.

Go into conference play with at most 2 losses and they should be fine. I believe the talent, experience, and coaching is good enough to get them back to the tournament this year. No excuses.
