Absolutely. Athletics are important to the university experience, especially a school like Pitt, where top and very involved students want to attend a D1 university and be able to go to a big-time football game on a Saturday and have an unbelievable atmosphere for basketball games. There's no denying it's a big reason so many go to Penn State and why you're seeing so many go to other massive universities out of state.

Obvious the Oakland Zoo is elite, but the Panther Pitt over the past 4-5 years has been growing and providing a better homefield advantage each year. Winning programs help build that.
