Right now, in Pomeroy we are 26th overall and 13th in adjusted O, but just 104th in adjusted D.
Last year, we ended up 78th overall and 30th in adjusted O, and a woeful 202nd in adjusted D.
Of course, we are just starting the ACC regular season so we will have to see if those numbers hold up.
If they do we are, as expected, much better than last year.
There is of course, room for improvement on the defensive end. Hedging correctly, not losing track of your man, and not playing so loose on the perimeter that the opposing players nail 3balls right over you.
One thing I have noticed, is that both Maia and Nelson-Ododa, do a good job of hedging. Makes a positive affect on the team.
We will have to see if the competition and intensity of the ACC games motivates our team to play more consistent good defense.
