The inability to draw up an inbounds play JUST to get the ball in bounds should eliminate any doubt. Not to mention the other consistent poor decisions and lack of coaching
At the very least if he’s serious he needs to shake up his staff. There comes a point where your record over 7 seasons is what you are. Hard to beleive he will probably be here a decade at least without much to account for.
hahahahahaha!!!!!🤣At the very least if he’s serious he needs to shake up his staff.

I agree but he won't. He doesn't have too. He's been very comfortable since day one because of where the program was when he took it over. I'm not knocking him I know hes a great guy and wants to win. But maybe a little oversight and fresh ideas would really help him. But he won't because like you said he's not serious or doesn't need to be and would rather keep things comfortable and mediocre instead. At the very least if he’s serious he needs to shake up his staff.
How do you know this, what evidence do you have?I know hes a great guy
Yeah. Not saying either way but he’s a relatively private guy so I’m not sure the basis for saying this. Besides it’s irrelevant. Give me Bobby Knight. How do you know this, what evidence do you have?
100% Correct. Not saying either way but he’s a relatively private guy so I’m not sure the basis for saying this. Besides it’s irrelevant.

Like I said in the other thread for sure a foul should have been calledWhile I believe our offense is predictable and has no imagination...this didn't help:
He is very knowledgeable and well spoken about the college game. I suppose that makes him a good face publicly, rarely have I heard him advocate for higher education or specifically the University of Pittsburgh.Capel puts on a good face publicly.

Exactly. He's not a Pitt guy and doesn't have the pride for the university, except for how it makes him look as a basketball coach.
You could say that about most coaches so…I don't think Capel is all that much of an advocate for higher education. He's not a Pitt guy and doesn't have the pride for the university, except for how it makes him look as a basketball coach.
Yeah. They are paid to coach and win basketball games. Most coaches are mercenaries. And now that the game has been come semi professional the academic side of things is a total joke anywayYou could say that about most coaches so…
He is overpaid by about 80%.....not worth more than $400,000.....can't say that about many coaches...how's that....You could say that about most coaches so

The other thing that I’ve never understood about the Capel era- we have the exact same coaching staff now (Jason Capel, Brown, O’Toole) as we did when Jeff was hired in 2018. Narduzzi at least made some sweeping changes after 2017 and 2023.
If that’s him saying there’s nothing wrong with the staff, then the problem squarely falls onto him or the players he recruited.
