I think Capel needs to hire a "package deal" assistant to avoid finishing last in the ACC next season. Whether that's an AAU coach who will bring a player or a transfer who is tied to a player. Tre Mitchell will be one of the Top 3 or so returning big men in the country. If Pitt can hire his mom's boyfriend (UMass assistant), we can get him you'd think and all of a sudden with an AA candidate at the 5, we'd only be 1 key transfer away from having a chance.

And I don’t know what’s going on. But given what happened to Herb Pope it’s probably good that he remains away. I don’t know what the reasons were but they must have been pretty serious.

what part of the reason he isn't and didn't come to Pitt don't you understand? you're deranged...willing to suggest offering a kid's step dad a huge raise to entice that kid to transfer to Pitt...when by all reports, his mom doesn't want him anywhere near this city for the kids personal safety.

Capel needs to hire a new assistant. Wish when he was initially hired, he got an AAU coach as a 3rd assistant or his DOBO. Programs do this ALL the time and the assistant has a recruit in their pocket or are connected to a highly-regarded AAU program. It's a little dirty, but I'd like to see it done.
