The fact that he has worked this into a relatively decent offense speaks volumes. Done a great job finding what works for this group and running plays that suit everyones strengths. My main question for this staff is why wasn't Ffrench involved more earlier in the season. Best playmaker at WR by far. Needs the ball somehow. I can't wait to see what they come up with this week.

I'll give Watson credit for finding out what works and maximizing the talent. The problem it took way too many games to establish an identity. It's almost like they go through an offseason designing the offense and not recognizing what they have.

I think it took time to see what kind of team they had. There were several new offensive lineman, wrs and a new quarterback. They had a lot of questions and playing a hard OOC schedule was tough but they did figure it out. Very proud of the head coach, staff and players. Pitt proud. H2P!

Hmmm. Same guy a majority on this forum wanted gone back in September. He's been better than given credit for some time. It's a great thing when "it clicks."

That was as good of play calling as we’ve seen in a long time yesterday

In rertrospect this team was not ready for the challenging OOC it had. The Ol has not gelled, KP was till green and the Defense was still adapting to a more aggressive coordinator

As the OL has gelled and KP has matured this offense has looked better every week. The results show.

Watson looks better when his qb completes passes to wide receivers running wide open, no doubt.

He didn’t look so good when Pickett was throwing behind receivers in the first half.

I’ll give the credit for the offense to The qb making better passes.

The WR were able to create some speration today. Thats long been the issue with this group.French has been able to do tha a little more than the others.

I like seeing Tipton and Mack playing most of the snaps again. Nothing against the young guys, they are more experienced and run better routes. They just make us better.

In addition to all the good points made in this thread somehow the PITT Oline came to life and are working as a high performing OL unit at this time.
This allowed Ollison & Hall ( O&H express) to get rolling which opened up lots of opportunities for Watson, Pickett and the WR's.

In the beginning of the year the OL looked in disarray!

Go PITT & CSU Rams!

This is also why playing a gauntlet of a OCC schedule is just bad for a program. You need very winnable games while you are figuring out what you have. That's what the programs who consistently win do.

I'll give Watson credit for finding out what works and maximizing the talent. The problem it took way too many games to establish an identity. It's almost like they go through an offseason designing the offense and not recognizing what they have.

No one gets out of breaks quick enough. Even Mack. Kenny can most certainly anticipate the window better. 90% no one open. 10% Kenny antipicating. Wake is pretty much a historically bad pass defense. Everyone open all day.
