Amazing Heinz Field stat

We've all heard how horrible Heinz Field is for kickers, both college and pro. Supposedly the toughest venue in America for kickers, right?

Opposing kickers are 16 for 16 on FG attempts against Pitt at Heinz Field this year.

That's not a misprint or typo.

That's unbelievable. YSU was 3-3, Virginia was 2-2, UNC was 4-4, Louisville was 2-2, Miami was 5-5. ND didn't attempt any.

Meanwhile, Blewitt missed 5 FGs and an 2 extra points at Heinz.

Such a fluke stat, but unreal at the same time.

Opposing kickers missed one FG on us all season, and that was the block at the end of the half versus GT. That's crazy. Reminds of nova shooting like 25-26 from the FT line in the Elite 8. Just bad luck.

I think the issue of kicking at Heinz Field is a myth and here are a couple of articles to backup that up:

That may be true.... but it would be weird if opposing college kickers were 16-16 in a dome.

And the contrast with Blewitt's 5 missed FGs and 2 missed XPs is stark.
