I understand that he may not want to leave Los Angeles because of his wife, but other than that, can anybody tell me why he isn't the best candidate for the job? Even when stacked up against a guy like Sean Miller, you have to be pretty impressed.

- Bachelor's degree in Economics from Johns Hopkins, and an MBA from Maryland, so you know he's an intelligent guy

- Has been successful in the business world aside from coaching, including being the VP of Finance of a software startup

- Worked as a shooting coach in the NBA

- Was an assistant at an ACC school (Florida State) for five years

- Been a successful head coach at two schools, taking both to the NCAA tournament

- Created "Dunk City" at Florida Gulf Coast, and is known for an exciting brand of basketball

- Using the very un-scientific method of considering his wife being a model, you'd have to assume he has a good personality that would translate well to the recruiting trail

- And he's fairly local, having been born in Shippensburg, PA

What's not to like?
