Ya!! GOOD point, the NORTH club was FULL too!!There were more fans inside the Champions Club than in seats. Nice atmosphere in there for those not wanting to sit in rain. Counts with attendance but not observable outside.
Last night was understandable. But I never understand how on nice game days people buy tickets and just sit in the club section inside the whole time!Ya!! GOOD point, the NORTH club was FULL too!!

15K, maybe 20K. I counted the upper deck endzone but then stopped. Less than 200 up there. They are right for closing that section.Of 46,626. I believe that !
There is no way on God's earth that 46K tickets were scanned yesterday. I have a hard time believing that 46K tickets were even sold. The announced number is how many tickets were scanned into the stadium by the ticket takers. Whether there were people in those seats is another thing.
So you have no idea how many people were there and are part of the problem. The people who don’t show up are why Pitt is ridiculed. There is no way on God's earth that 46K tickets were scanned yesterday. I have a hard time believing that 46K tickets were even sold.
And no, I didn't go. It was just too miserable. Sorry if that offends anyone.
Anyhow, I don't know why they even bother to announce an attendance. All it does is bring ridicule upon themselves. Most of the announced numbers are total nonsense.
No, that is not correct. The ridicule comes from when I (and apparently many others) are counted as actually being there, and we aren't.So you have no idea how many people were there and are part of the problem. The people who don’t show up are why Pitt is ridiculed.

I think all schools exaggerate attendance to some extent. PSU surely doesn't get 107K every day, and neither does Michigan. But some of the numbers that get announced here aren't even within 2 standard deviations. A while ago I was at a game against, I think, Syracuse, and there might have been 17K there. They announced 38K. I mean, come on.
1) The student section was good. It’s fairly easy to estimate attendance. The lower bowl seats about 30K. You could have fit everyone in the lowe bowl easily. 15K-20K. There were only 200 people in the upper deck endzone and about 1000 in the away side upper deck. A crowd of 46K means the lower bowl and home upper deck were close to 100% full.
The large swaths of yellow seats are why Pitt is mocked. First and foremost. Pitt fans like you who makes excuses are THE problem. Show up and support the program. No, that is not correct. The ridicule comes from when I (and apparently many others) are counted as actually being there, and we aren't.

Dude, I show up plenty. If the weather sucks, like it did yesterday, I will use my own discretion. Sorry if that upsets you.The large swaths of yellow seats are why Pitt is mocked. First and foremost. Pitt fans like you who makes excuses are THE problem. Show up and support the program.
Cool story. Then enjoy the win and keep quiet about the attendance if you weren’t there.Dude, I show up plenty. If the weather sucks, like it did yesterday, I will use my own discretion. Sorry if that upsets you.
Last night was going to have a low attendance regardless of anything else. For the typical game, the empty yellow seats is self imposed since Pitt refuses to appropriately downsize the stadium. Considering they don’t, they must not care much about empty seats. The large swaths of yellow seats are why Pitt is mocked. First and foremost. Pitt fans like you who makes excuses are THE problem. Pitt Stadium sat 56,500 and had large swaths of empty seats. I agree with you that they should downsize Acrisure, but the biggest issue is this fair weather fanbase. We only have 6 home games.Last night was going to have a low attendance regardless of anything else. 1) The student section was good.
2) A bunch of people left their seats at halftime.
3) The people who stayed and made noise throughout are the true fans.
I’m in the stands to watch the game. Section 134. I can’t see the upper deck behind me from my vantage point. Where do you sit? That is fine. Just saying they didnt scan 46K tickets. 15K-20K
I’m in 135…just turn your head around and look upI’m in the stands to watch the game. Section 134. I can’t see the upper deck behind me from my vantage point. Where do you sit?

They were scanning each ticket three times then. The announced number is how many tickets were scanned into the stadium by the ticket takers. Whether there were people in those seats is another thing.
You cannot see the entire upper deck when you are in my seats. We are too high up in the section. Feel free to come over and say hi. We have 4 seats on the aisle and we are all making noise. I’m the one banging the seats loudly.I’m in 135…just turn your head around and look up
Admittedly, I tried to sell my tickets for yesterday but since no one would buy them , I went. Had a great time. I’d say 22k there, student area packed to start the game, all fans who stayed were as loud as can be, the stupid TV camera guy blocking the view on the home sideline is ridiculous.

Going into yesterday, Penn State was leading the country in per game attendance, 110,051 (3% above capacity) to Michigan's 109,669 (2% above capacity). No, that is not correct. The ridicule comes from when I (and apparently many others) are counted as actually being there, and we aren't.

There is no way that 46k souls scanned their tickets on a rainy night and then vanished Into the darkness. Just as improbable: 25k people standing at the gates scanning every ticket they owned, even the unused ones. This is Pitt doing Pitt Math 101. It was so miserable the lantern flies skipped out.The announced number is how many tickets were scanned into the stadium by the ticket takers. Somebody call the Centre County Fire Marshal. But then, he would no doubt continue that fine Penn State tradition and look the other way….Going into yesterday, Penn State was leading the country in per game attendance, 110,051 (3% above capacity) to Michigan's 109,669 (2% above capacity).
