Jim posted an update on Saturday with what appears to be a top candidate for the WR coach, and I'll throw another name in:
Chris Beatty
This is more of a rumor than Jim's report on Hankerson, but Beatty is such an intriguing name that I figured I'd throw it out on the board for discussion. He's been coaching in college for a dozen years and he's been at Power Five schools since 2008. Most recently, he was the receivers coach at Maryland in addition to being co-OC and associate head coach; you can tell by all of those titles that DJ Durkin obviously thought a lot of him.
Beatty has moved around a lot in his career, but if Pitt could get him, it would be a pretty good score. He's highly-regarded as a recruiter and has experience at the position where Pitt needs a new coach.
Again, this is a rumor and we'll work to confirm something on this one way or the other. But keep his name in mind.
