I thought it was only a matter of time until Pitt got involved. Levi Cook, a 6'10 and about 290-pound center at Huntington Prep was at the Pitt game on Saturday. He is a senior and in the 2015 class. Cook committed to West Virginia early on in his recruitment, but has since opened things up.
It makes sense in every way. This kid is similar to a Gary McGhee type. Not a good athlete, but a huge body. No way to tell what his work ethic is like, but he has a lot of things to build on. Cook is probably ahead of where McGhee was at the same stage. So if he has a comparable work ethic, he could be a nice true center for three years.
Also, it would be nice to get in with Huntington Prep. Ted Kapita is there, as well as Miles Bridges. Fulford went to Missouri as an assistant, so there is a new coach in charge there.
