Hoops situation last Saturday between Mt. Lebo and Quaker Valley? It appears Mt Lebo coach Joey David threatened to pull his team off the floor if referee Mario Seneca reffed the game. After a meeting with school officials and the refs it was decided to give Seneca a game check and send him home while the game was played with 2 refs. I admit I don’t know the details of what was the problem between the two but I find it troubling that they allowed David to dictate terms here and set a dangerous precedent. The refs should have taken the floor and let David forfeit the game if he didn’t want his team to play. By the way they lost anyway.
Anyone have any details on the bizarre high school....

The WPIAL needs to suspend David, preferably for a long time. You are correct, you simply cannot have coaches doing something like that.
Coach David must be a fan of the Joe Paterno School of Scheduling Officials, subtitled When In Doubt, Call a Guman.
