How about Tre Mitchell. UMass power forward. Pittsburgh native was first team A10 last year. 19 pts 7 rebs a game. Former 4 star recruit was at UMass for 2 years. In transfer portal.
Hire his stepdad and bring Tre with him. Get rid of Jason.
Now this is interesting. Not sure anyone here on this board has connected the dots on Mitchell or discussed him much. 😂

Word is his family wanted him out of Pittsburgh. Sounded like maybe he was falling in with the wrong crowd. There’s a thread or 2 about it when he announced he was transferring. That same thing was said when he originally chose a college.
It has been a couple years since. Maturity and a chance to play for the hometown team could be a consideration you might think. IDK what schools are pursuing him but HCJC should kick the tires here if he hasn't yet.
I have no clue personally. Was just repeating what’s been said. And if Capel hasn’t at least “kicked the tires” he should be fired.
Mitchell's old top six included Providence, who can offer playing time like Pitt, in a good conference, and away from home. Boston College is a similar story. Don't think he's coming back here, even if we're a fit for being able to offer real minutes in an ACC team.
Hearing anything about ex DePaul/Minnesota players or Stevenson from Southern Miss?

That is absolute BS. The family is from Elizabeth, a nice middle-class suburb, 20 miles south of the city. The kid wasnt riding the PAT bus at 14 to go hang out with gang bangers in Pittsburgh. That is such fake news. Hire the step dad and he will come here.
Ok, I'm not trying to rile anyone up and I haven't looked at every post on the message board, but we haven't heard much from Vader Storm (or whatever his name is) or Basketball insider. I don't know if these guys have any connections, but the conversation is good. I know the season doesn't start till November, but we are in mid April and only have 1/2 a roster.

I think it would be awfully odd for me to add this woman on Facebook. Do you really believe Pitt is still in that race? He’s had 3 years worth of a relationship to commit. What could possibly come to light now for him to commit?

To say the Capel era has been a huge disappointment so far would be a huge understatement.
