Never seen him play. I know as much as anyone else here. Seems like he’s a good late pickup based on previous rankings and could be a nice surprise though.

Lundy announced he is staying at PSU. Sounds like the new staff is making up some ground with the transfer portal guys. I would say there is a strong likelihood that Harrar stays at PSU the longer this goes on.
PSU might have more players than we do and they had a coaching change.

Their players went 4-14 in the big ten last year and lost a 15 point scorer. PSU is still gonna suck those players aren’t winning players and they’ve added no one else
Adding players for the sake of adding dudes whether thru portal or elsewhere is meaningless if they’re not winning dudes
I mean they added back a guy who averaged 10/4 on 38 percent shooting off a 4-14 team. Not Lebron James

Depends what they’re looking for in that position. Someone to evaluate and organize things? He should fill that role quite nicely.
Obviously I’m not a D1 head coach but I wouldn’t utilize a spot on staff that way. There wouldn’t be one person on staff that didn’t have connections somewhere that I thought could pull me a kid.
The tricky part is if anybody contests this hire from saying he had prior relationships with kids on the roster or any kid he’s done an article on that they’re recruiting. Not sure exactly how that rule works and there is a way around it.
But since it is penn state this is probably all moot and no one cares because their staff is underwhelming. They have been there almost a month and haven’t landed one kid. New coach bump not happening for them.

I was being sarcastic. Mitchell did not leave Elizabeth because he was getting in trouble. He went to a bball factory for the same reasons many kids do. There's never even been a quote about him "getting into trouble." Its a message board rumor from people who thought he was from actual Pittsburgh and not a middle class suburb.
Mitchell will easily be a better college basketball player than Efton Reid NEXT season. If Pitt hires his step-dad, they instantly have a team that can potentially reach the NIT.

Brockington was fine - he’s like a reverse Nike Sibande in that he’s solid defensively but can’t really do anything for you offensively.
They seem to be convinced that UNC tampered with Brockington to get him to re-enter the portal which seems...not too plausible. Seems like somebody got to him, but UNC seems like a stretch.
They were definitely counting on him to be a piece of what they were going to do this year so it’s a blow. I highly doubt unc is tampering with kids from a 4-14 psu team lol.
Why should any Pitt fan care who PS basketball is recruiting? They are of no relevance to us. If you must continually post guys that are going to other schools, then please at least stick to schools that matter.
Watched Siena quite a bit this year. Pickett wasn’t nearly as good as it was the two seasons prior. They had some major COVID issues so maybe that was the issue, but Manny Camper was the much more productive backcourt guy. Nonetheless, decent pick up for PSU.
