Maybe it is just a coincidence but it seems that there are more empty seats, from the TV view, than other years. It was certainly noticeable at the Cuse game yesterday. The arena seemed a bit empty for the Florida State game and watching other ACC games I also notice more empty seats than usual. It could be my imagination, or the weather, or nothing. Obviously Duke packed them in.

They hate Autry and the team sucks. Time to move on. This is Kenny Payne 2.0.

I think except for a few blue bloods and intense rivalry games, interest in college sports in general is waning, not just basketball. NIL and the accompanying frustrations with it are partly to blame. Fans don't even know who the team's players are from year to year because of the transfer portal.

In a lot of places, I think it has to do with the product on the court. It seemed like UNC had a really good crowd yesterday. UVA still draws well for weekend games, but it's significantly down for mid-week games. Weather may be partly responsible, but this is down noticeably more than usual.

I feel like the switching around of the court hasn't lived up to what I thought it would be.

I thought it was going to be Cameron Crazy like but it hasn't been. Feels like the view of the suites were more interesting on TV.

You couldn’t have said it better. We had company from Raleigh last week and he said people in his circle down there feel the same way. I feel the same way, but that’s not why I don’t go anymore. Age and health has caught up with me.

It is 1 post-season tournament in 8, going on 9 seasons, and, what, two total weeks of being ranked in the AP top 25.

This isn't a mystery. Pitt is lucky there still is a Zoo. And, add to that, Pitt is playing in the worst conference it has belonged to since 1982.

Age and just not being as fast as I used to be ;) has caught up with me. Fortunately, my health is holding up so far. But without being able to root for individual players year to year (think Brandin Knight, Chevy, Blair, Sam Young, Patterson, Wannamaker), the teams have lost their identity. That's where I find myself now.
