Austin fired by Bengals

I know many Pitt fans thought he would make a good head coach at Pitt.

He was fired today from his DC position after his Bengals gave up 500 plus yards in 3 straight games.

That is a dubious NFL record.

Sorry, but he was a 1st year coordinator correct at cincy where marvin lewis still has a job. The dubious record lies with that joke of an organization...not Austin and 9 games with the bungles

Maybe so, but the numbers are what the numbers are and he is out.

He might still make a great college coach, he has a lot more going for him than one poor season as the DC of a franchise that's been stuck in quicksand for decades. His resume is better than a lot of current P5 coaches.
