Sean is our new coach. If you liked Jamie, you'll love Sean. He's just a more personable Jamie who gets better players.
Make it happen, Barnes.

Sean Miller at 12 doing amazing things. He already put James Robinson to shame. Look for yourself.
He's way more animated on the sidelines, though.
So, that's a non-starter for many.
Even made it onto the Dan LeBatard show because he was so ridiculously out of control and beet red yelling in one of his players' faces earlier this season.
He might make better eye contact, which would balance out some of these horrible flaws, but I think his overall animation and treatment of players will make many hate him.

He might not be my first choice, but most certainly an acceptable one
DT: Who are your top three? Thks.

Don't know -- I'll think about if TCU announces Dixon as their new coach. But I'm not going to worry about it now.

Wow didn't know that. That's cool.Immediately after that performance Roy Chipman offered Miller a scholarship. Said he wanted to make sure he was the first.
Is this before or after he calls Calipari?Sean is our new coach. If you liked Jamie, you'll love Sean. He's just a more personable Jamie who gets better players.

I have a feeling who most people's top 3 are, and who the legitimately reasonable options are, will be two totally different lists.
Nope - Will Wade at VCUSo everyone will want Cal, Miller, or whichever coach takes a mid major to the final 4 this year. Pitt will land none of these.
Nope - Will Wade at VCU
You do realize Dixon makes more than Miller, right?Arizona, which has more athletic revenue than Pitt, is paying him over $3 million a year.
Pitt wouldn't/couldn't pay that much for a football coach, let alone a hoops coach.
Give it up.
After bonuses, it's about the same. You do realize Dixon makes more than Miller, right?

Not according to the sporting news. He made quite a bit more than Dixon and btw so did Huggins. You do realize Dixon makes more than Miller, right?
I posted his actual contract in a thread earlier. It's from the university records. Not according to the sporting news. He made quite a bit more than Dixon and btw so did Huggins.

I think the year you used was inflated because Dixon got some sort of one time extra money for the ACC move but could be wrong?I posted his actual contract in a thread earlier. It's from the university records.
Valid concern - I like the fact that he won at Chattanooga, he was coach of the year in the conference, and he set them up to make the NCAA this year. They were 24-40 prior to his arrival. Then add in the fine coaching job he did this year, he is a good recruiter, and has a good staff with ties throughout NY, DC, VA, etc. An added bonus is 3 R. Jr. on his roster who could be Grad Transfers if they choose to do so.Watched a lot of VCU this year and liked what I saw of Wade, I'm just naturally leery of anyone who replaces a great coach and has a good first season or 2.
I'm never sure if he's just inheriting someone else's players and continuing a system, or is a legitimately solid coach.
Pitt could definitely do worse than Wade though.
I didn't post anything regarding Dixon. The PG article mentioned his salary. I only provided Miller's.I think the year you used was inflated because Dixon got some sort of one time extra money for the ACC move but could be wrong?

Although, if we are going the super-young A-10 coach, why aren't we just throwing a ton of cash at Archie?
I'm assuming the local media hasn't gotten around to discussing replacements yet, but when they do Wade is almost certainly going to be on the list.
Like a lot of Pitt fans I am very relieved that this search will be conducted by the current administration.
He got trashed by a lower seed....and is a despicable bum. Would you buy season tickets if he was hired?? Your opinion doesn't matter.Sean is our new coach. If you liked Jamie, you'll love Sean. He's just a more personable Jamie who gets better players.
