Barnes's comments about scheduling

Yes, I said that already. They are Pitt's official partner so they give Pitt a small percentage.
How can they give Pitt a piece of MY property?? The tix I post there don't belong to Pitt. Keep being evasive. That's like saying the dealer I bought a car from will get a piece of my proceeds from selling it later. Stubhub gets its usual fees.....but you contend that Pitt gets some of that?? I think you're wrong, but can't admit it.
As for the crack about gray hair......you have plenty to learn from your elders. So far, the ones in your life have only mixed results.

SH takes ~10% from both the buyer and the seller on ever sale. Since they are allied with the school, Pitt probably gets some very small payout. Regardless, it isn't anything close to what Pitt would make by having an additional season ticket sold. Pitt really only has that relationship as a means to sell non-sold individual tickets, as well as to appease STHs with some open market, which is pretty common from all teams (college and pro) at this point.

It also gives fans buying tickets more security than people buying from shady scalpers on the streets.

Yea, I dont know why its so hard for NTOP to understand. If NTOP sells his ticket for $50, Stubhub gives him $45 and they charge me $55. They made $10 and of that, they give, I dont know, lets say $2.50 to Pitt. I never said Pitt was getting rich off of it. They get a small percentage and whether they did or not, I'd still get my tickets from there. There's a difference between being cheap and stupid. I love Pitt but I'm not paying outrageous prices for upper deck season tickets when I can get lowers on Stub at a comparable cost.

That's not true.
If ntop sells his ticket for &50.. He gets about. $43 with the vast majority of that going to stubhub Ang maybe a percentage to pitt.. Or pennies.

You have no idea if Pitt gets any $$$ on that sale. Proof?? Obviously, if Pitt puts unsold tix on sale there, they get the net proceeds. But I'm not convinced that Pitt gets ADDITIONAL funds for a private seller transaction.
As for the season ticket question, you've at least admitted that you'd rather Stubhub make money than Pitt. Because that is exactly what happens.

But I'm not convinced that Pitt gets ADDITIONAL funds for a private seller transaction.

It's not exactly "private." I haven't sold any Pitt seats on SH, but I have sold Pirates seats. When the team is officially tied into SH, you are able to digitally receive tickets immediately and print them out yourself, as opposed to several years ago when a Pitt STH would have to put the tickets in a folder, take it to UPS, send it out, and it would take several days to get to the buyer. I assume that Pitt gets the benefits I mentioned earlier, SH gets the benefit of faster service for both buyers and sellers.

Even if Pitt gets 1% of a sale, that's $2 on a pair of $100 seats. That's terrible. Buy tickets from Pitt.

I've had season tix since 1982, except one year. I have no problem with Stubhub, just curious about who makes money.
