series was supposed to be a doubleheader tomorrow and a single game on Monday. Because of a crappy weather forecast they changed it to a single game tonight and a doubleheader tomorrow. Then they changed it again to a doubleheader tonight and a single game tomorrow. Pitt won the first game tonight 3-2. The second game is still going on.

Some details....
Pitt scored single runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth. In the fourth Roche doubled and Vazquez singled him home. In the fifth Johnson singled and scored on a Vranka double. And in the sixth Shelinsky hit a solo home run. APB did not score until the ninth, when Pitt tried their hardest to hand them the game. The first three batters of the inning all reached on Pitt errors. Just to show that we are an equal opportunity error machine it was one each by Wolsonovich then Frabasilio then Johnson. That scored one run and left guys on first and third. A sacrifice fly scored the second run, then a fielders choice a walk and a ground out ended the game. Wotherspoon got the win and Danielczyk came in and got the last out for the save.

We (#113) needed to sweep the RPI rated #276 (out of 302) team, even on their own field. The Golden Lions are in first place in their division of the SWAC, they are 14-6 in conference and 4-19 OOC.
