For those of you who missed the drama

Man, I can't recall there ever being so much Pitt-WVU-PSU internal drama among Steeler fans. If we draft Drew Allar, it's gonna get ugly.
if we draft allar, im on record as wanting him to fail, get hurt, tear a knee, get hit by a car on carson street walking to OTAs.

i'll say it, i'll own it, wont deny it. that's how bad it will annoy me..

Pitt fans aren't allowed to have opinions on PSU or WVU guys. Our own fan base tells us so.

I root for Friermuth and JPJ, even though one is Joe Average and the other is the worst CB1 in football. There were even a few PSU dudes I really liked. Well, Whitman is actually the only one I can think of who was during my time. But a QB is different. In these already-tumultuous times, I don't need a PSU guy being the face of this city. I don't even care about the Pickett thing. But this would be different, in my opinion.

eh, it's a rivalry. Glad someone is still passionate about it. He was at WVU for only one year to boot.
Glad you said that. I heard Whaley, Dorin and even Adam Crowley outraged over it this morning. It struck me as a complete overreaction.

It’s a rivalry and he’s having a bit of fun. Is it disrespectful? Some think so but I am not bothered by it whatsoever. I’m glad we live rent free in his head.

I appreciate Whaley and Dorin’s passion in defending Pitt. I just don’t think we need defended.

Whaley even went as far, from the mind of an ex NFL GM, to believe this was a huge red flag for NFL execs everywhere in regards to Bishop and his character.

Lighten up people.

Yeah, I don't know that anyone cares about an undrafted nickel back.

This kind of stuff is more for egging each other on than it is for spite. These guys don't really hate each other as much as the fans play it up. They hang out together and everything. It isn't anywhere near what it used to be because guys just all know each other, now.

Will this guy even make the team? I mean cool...you didn't beat pitt in the ack....so you have to do this during OTAs? Lame. But in the scheme of things who cares? Asswipe

He's been on the team. 4 picks last year as a nickel back.

If Allar is the guy that our big brass pinpoint as our next franchise QB, then I have to agree with you. He blows and will never amount to anything more than a backup. I may have to give up being a Steeler fan if they draft that turd.

I don’t really care, though I’m sure most of the Steelers don’t give a crap about Pitt. Will be nice when we have our own facilities again someday.

I might feel differently if during his one (1) year at WVU, they had beaten Pitt.

But he lost to Pitt. Ho hum, and move on.

His character was revealed; nothing else to see here.

Beanie couldn't spell "Beanie" if you gave him the B e a n I e.

I'm on e of those one you all talked about that had a big problem with it. Here is why.
  1. What good reason would he have had to be on Pitt's side.
  2. If a Pitt player from say Cincinnati had went on their side and did something similar like put a Burrow jersey over their logo people would be screaming for Narduzzi's head.
  3. Any partnership is built on a mutual respect. The fact this clown felt comfortable doing that tells me the level of respect the Steelers have for Pitt because Pitt would never let something like this happen the other way around.

Bishop was in the Pitt side because the Steelers were doing a photo shoot and needed a bigger room which was on Pitt’s side. Bishop did as a joke because the Pitt players were on him last year.
It’s a joke

What's the big deal??? He wiped his feet on the Pitt logo that was on THE FLOOR??? How many other people have walked on, stomped on, spit on and what ever else on that logo that is on THE FLOOR???
Honestly, I am actually kind of glad to see that type of emotion from the other side of a rivalry. I am a Pitt fan through and through, but I have no issue with him doing this. It was all in fun.

Logos are a big deal. It's a huge taboo to step on them when they're on the floor. Especially locker rooms. Remember when Kaboly got reamed by Minkah for stepping on the Steelers' logo? There's always a freshman that makes that mistake.

Meh. Who cares? It's kind of funny.
But really it's not when you consider they were invited guest on Pitt's side because the owner is a cheap bastard and their side sucks and isn't big enough.....then a player pulls a bonehead move like that. Under no circumstances would I ever let them back over there after the disrespect.....and from a bum like him too.

Pitt doesn't have a choice. If the Steelers want to come over, they are coming over.

Actually during Beanie’s one year at WVU (2023), WVU won 17-6. Beanie had an interception that he returned 40 yards.
