Let me get this right. ESPN reports his firing because he pressured injured player to play and also threatened players who might not play their senior year that they could lose their scholarship. OK, I get that. But does anybody think that the fact that he went 12-25 and 4-20 in the B1G Ten and now Illinois doesn't have to pay the the $3.1 MILLION left on his contract's remaining 2 years have anything to do with this? What an easy way to fire a coach and not have to pay. Hmmm.
