And people wonder why they have massive college debt but can’t find a job
I’d like to see an extensive piece on the differences between college of today and college of 30 years ago, 50 years ago and 75 years ago. It would be fascinating.

Well I think it could be traced back to the 60’s and those radicals are also running universities today. Just a theory.

I dont care what this person looks like or what she teaches. I wouldn't major on gender studies and would hope my kids don't. So who cares? Deep Red West Virginia University has an Athletic Coaching major. Not a minor or certificate program. A real major. If someone wants to major in Athletic Coaching and have some idiot assistant coach provide their "education" or some weirdo pink hair person, fine.

A recession is a good thing, they are told and believe it. I mean for some people it is, but for the vast majority of people, it is surely not.

Over 70% of the country agrees with what we're saying. And approval ratings for their side are going south of 20%. So why would they respond unless they want to look like fools. Oh wait....that's what they are!

When I was in college in the late 60’s early 70’s there was no DEI and professors teaching their Marxist ideology and rewriting history. IMO they don’t know how to teach. Also there were “no safe places” for those kids who afraid of their own shadow. Yes I was a hippie back then but graduating with a degree meant something.
By the way I did go to war protests because it was a great place to meet girls! 🤣

When we went to school (10 years later than you ). 3/4 of the majors offered today didn’t exist. And these kids wonder why they can’t pay off their student loans. A house mortgage to qualify for a job flipping burgers at Mickey DS
Yes I’m old and still rocking! And you’re right about the majors these students take. Then they graduate and wonder why they can’t find a job in their field. Today I think these kids should look into trade school and get a good paying job in HVAC, plumbing and electrical. How to operate computers on manufacturing. There’s more job opportunities in these fields plus good money.
Funny how people who went to college in the late 60's and early 70's all had similar experiences. I did exactly what you described, down to the war protests just to meet girls. I wore my hair longish and listened to CSNY, Queen, Doobies. But I graduated after taking some hard courses in Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering. And I worked and made a decent living for the past 50+ years, now retired.
It's so different now, and not in a good way.
