Besides Pitt vs UCLA

Holiday Bowl
UNC vs. Oregon

These two teams were flying high a various points of the season. I expect it to be a pretty exciting offensive show.

Orange Bowl
Tennessee vs. Clemson

Playoff caliber game in a non-playoff bowl.

Gator Bowl
Notre Dame vs. South Carolina

South Carolina got some big wins at the end of the year and Spencer Rattler finished the year strong. Notre Dame turned its season around will be without the starting QB.

Rose Bowl
Utah vs. Penn State

I am looking forward to Utah laying the smackdown.

UNC, Clemson, USCe, and Utah.

Personally, I’m excited for the Arkansas-KU Liberty Bowl. Obviously KU is the college team here in KC, but Arkansas has quite a large alum base here as well; should make for a fun couple days leading up to the game (of course, it’d be even more fun had Mizzou not ducked the Jayhawks).

Also, KU making the Liberty Bowl after years of futility reminds me of Pitt’s Liberty Bowl appearance in 1997 after a long, pitiful decade up to that season. Hopefully for them, this bowl is a sign of better things to come like our appearance was.

Good regional matchup - slight nod to the Razorbacks

Good choices. I like all these matchups.

On the flip side, could there possibly be a worse matchup than Kentucky vs Iowa? 2 pathetic offenses, a rematch of a game played last year, and I fully expect most Wildcat fans will want to stay behind to watch their beloved basketball Cats put an absolute beatdown on the Louisville Cardinals in a game scheduled in the same time frame.

Folks‘ll be adjusting their tv color watching the Orange Bowl. Hopefully one will wear their alternate uni’s.

Other than the playoffs and the Pitt game, I'll try to catch all of the ACC bowls unless I have another commitment.

Another game I might watch is Texas vs. Washington.

When I am channel surfing and see a game is on, I may pop it on to catch some of it. Other than Pitt there are not any others I make a point of watching other than the playoff games.

Exactly how I treat bowls now. They are frivolous of course, but I appreciate their existence during downtime at the holidays, with vacation days to kill off. There’s only so much shopping and merriment that can handled. Also good to have in the background if you hit a bar with some friends. And what else would ESPN have to broadcast, Cornhole? Poker? The WNBA? A decent bowl game also helps satisfy the appetite for college football having ended last week. Luckily the NFL goes on to Valentine’s Day now.

Tennessee vs Clemson would have been awesome with both starting quarterbacks playing. I can't take any of these things seriously with the opt-outs. The only ones I'll watch are the ones that are close at the end.

I fill out the “Bowl Mania” pickum contests, and try to watch as many as I can. I enjoy seeing matchups that don’t normally play each other.

I don’t usually finish the game if it’s not competitive, but that’s the fun - you never know.

Those confidence polls used to be fun for the bowl games. You would pick the winners and then put them in the order of how confident you were. So the winner of your #35 game would net you 35 points; the winner of your #1 game would only net you 1 point, etc.

I don't know how anyone could do that know, with the opt-outs and transfers. I'd probably just pull up the Vegas spreads and make my picks according to that.

I’m getting ready for some really big matchups like the boca raton bowl with a couple of heaven weights on dec 20, Toledo vs liberty, then if i can’t get enough of hard hitting major college football then there’s the camellia bowl, featuring college football powers buffalo vs Georgia southern, it doesn’t get any better then that

Blink three times if someone has a gun to your head.

I'll probably watch none of them in their entirety. Other than Pitt/UCLA. No actual games on January 1st? I guess I'm watching Steelers/Ravens that day. I might be interested in Tulane/USC, rooting for the G5 to pull an upset. I'll probably watch the NHL Winter Classic instead, hoping for snow in Fenway for Bruins vs. Pens.

Tennessee without Hooker isn't a top 20 team.

Clemson without DJ is better off.

Bowl season ain't what it used to be. I'm not sure how they can fix that- once the playoffs came into the picture it was inevitable that the bowls would lose their charm. Maybe they can start offering cash prizes to the winning team so 1/4 of the team doesn't opt out.

The only games other than Pitt that interest me are the SC vs ND and Clemson vs Tennessee. Of course the SC-ND one conflicts with the Pitt game...

Not the greatest of games but I’ll be in attendance for the Oregon St v Florida contest this weekend. Early start time no deterrent for me, leaves plenty of time to do something else afterwards.
