This is actually typical, those who worship the "blue bloods" and root for the "best team" to win EVERY TIME should be happy!

Kentucky #1
Duke #1
Wisconsin #1
Michigan State #7 (but hardly a Cinerella, a big time hoop school from a Power 5 League)

This is the NORM and not the exception, then you have people WHINING that with this 68 team tournament the "BEST TEAM" might get upset!

I'm rooting for Michigan State, so that the best team doesn't win the Championship! Anyone that would then say that MSU isn't deserving to be CHAMPION would be an idiot. That wpuld mean they dumped 2 #1 seeds in 3 days!

As much as some have come to complain about the tournament, Cinderella NEVER wins, it's always a Power Conference team, so If Cinderella ever wins, I'd view them as deserving making it through this tournament.

Two things:...

1. Try decaf.

2. Who cares about "labels"?? This has been a fabulous tournament.

Re: Two things:...

It really has been one for the ages. So many down to the wire games.

The NCAA tournament really is the best of what amateur team athletics has to offer. Despite all the B.S. with recruiting, hype, etc., every team still has to run a tremendous gauntlet to get to the FF. The intensity, emotion and school pride is unmatched in sports.

I love every second of it.

It's the best show in sports, IMHO.

Although the plethora of talk shows is a mess. Enough, already. I do like the ads with Shaq, Doc, Glide and that white jerk, though.

i like the ads with spike lee, django's tormentor, and barls charkley

Re: It's the best show in sports, IMHO.

NTOP hates Christian Laetner LOL.

My only problem with the NCAA tournament is that it is the perfect example of the whole "regular season doesn't matter" argument. You hear it with all sports (except football, because they play so few games). But it's all about the tournament. If that's the case, why bother even playing the regular season?

Anyway, the few games I've watched have been pretty entertaining, and I think that's largely because we got rid of the Cinderellas after the first weekend.

Why bother? Because primarilly IT'S A TV SHOW and an ENTERTAINMENT OPTION for a night out. The regular season games are like the 1st 15 episodes of "The Walking Dead" it's 15 nights of SOMETHING TO WATCH, before you watch the Season Finale. That's all sports is, NOTHING MORE. I've said it a million times, and I mean it, I love watching Pitt play Sienna in November, just beacuse Pitt Basketball is one of my favorite TV Shows.

No problem for me. Maybe for some.

I've always liked those 3 black guys, anyway. Shaq is larger than life, not above poking fun at himself.

Apparently, I'm not alone.

Actually don't hate him, just think he's a jerk.

The whole point of the thread is, hey, those that want the best team to win and hate the Cinderellas got what you want and if you look back the last 40 years the same thing happens almost every year. Name a Cinderella, who was not from a power conference who ever won the title? You could say UNLV I suppose, but at the time, they where ranked #1, them winning was not a surprise, Name true Cinderellas, NON-POWER CONFERENCE teams, that have even reached the Final 4? There are a few, George Mason, Butler, but the list is pretty short. The Big Boys always win for the most part.

I love upsets the first two rounds but then like Chalk the rest of the way. I want to see one of the best teams win, in part, so I can understand what Pitt needs to do to get there. A team of 5' 5" guards, 6' 2" forwards and a 6' 5" Center is not the kind of team I hope wins.

Maybe so we know what teams should be in it, and how they should be seeded?

On the other hand, you'd have to love watching a group like that gut it out and win it all if it ever happened, wouldn't you?
