Tell that fat slob to take his broken ass arm and HIT THE ROAD!

The Steelers quarterback was courtside in Morgantown Tuesday night for WVU’s game against third-ranked Kansas. He was there with wide receiver Ryan Switzer.

Oh, and the Mountaineer mascot.

Ben went to a college that doesn't know geography.
Miami of Ohio
Did he do his grad work at?
U of Indiana PA- you know the place Bobby Knight coached at.

Haha, I actually think this is pretty amusing. I'm hoping the original post was in jest (hard to tell sometimes). The most depressing part about it is thinking that his relationship with Switzer might mean he'll (referring to Switzer) be back another year. A Switz Army Knife he is not.

And the Steelers plan to pay this guy $30m next season? Dan Rooney would have been looking for plan B.

Seriously guys I was about 20 feet from Ben last night and he looked a lot thinner than I imagined. I was shocked because all I hear is about fat Ben.People he's not that big believe me.Switzer is a very small man.

Go Ben! Go Mountaineers! Go Steelers! Go Pens! Go Buccos!

my guess? This guy who is upset about Big Ben is one of the MANY Pitt fans who aren’t Pittsburgh pro fans. I suspect that many Pitt fans cheer for teams like Redskins, Eagles, Phillies, and Browns.

BTW, Ben’s been to at least 2-3 WVU hoops/football games in the past few years. Switzer is from down state and was upset that WVU didn’t recruit him (under our former dumb head coach, who now is at Houston as head coach). He LOVES all things WVU despite not going there. Can’t remember where he went....Maybe Temple or Virginia?

Not sure if you’re being serious, on this board... if not, look up his stats against Pitt. Probably better stats in those 3 or 4 games than his entire NFL career.

As for your comment about Pitt - most people I met who weren’t Pittsburgh fans were Philly sports fans (gross). But you’ll get a mixed bag of pro sports fans at any big university really.

And I also have a fair share of friends/acquaintances from Pitt not even from Pittsburgh who adopted the Steelers/Penguins (not so much the Pirates, I wonder why...).

For the people who want to vilify Roethisberger for going to a West Virginia game, do you feel the same way when non-Pitt Stillers show up at Pitt games? For instance Ryan Shazier has gone to a Pitt basketball game or two every season since he got drafted. He didn't play for Pitt. Should he be ostracized? What about Smith-Shuster? Or Cam Heyward? Or any of the other numerous Stillers who would show up at the Pete back when Pitt was good?

They live in Pittsburgh, maybe that has something to do with it. And you said When Pitt was good!

Well the Hoopies are certainly good this year. And they were playing one of the top teams in the country.

But Morgantown is what, a seven or eight hour drive, and at this time of the year a football player's schedule is jam-packed with work to do, so yeah, good point.

I actually thought this was a joke.

Now I see some of you are serious about this.

You are pathetic losers !!!
Which probably explains the problems with the Pitt fanbase.

Get a life!

How could I forgot the message board/boards are your life.

Ben probably identifies with the hunting, fishing, outdoor types of wv rather than the Pittsburgh whiners, and I bet when he's done with football he moves.

Didn’t look up his stats but see that he went to UNC. He was an incredible high school talent but our former coach hates recruiting. Amazingly, the state of WV has had more talent in the last 5-10 years than prior to the last 5-10 years. I mean that literally. And in 21-22 recruiting classes it’s forecasted to be the best.

There is a reason Ben has never been captain of the Steelers.
Big Ben has been a captain 11 times, including the previous nine seasons.

EDIT: In your defense, you likely thought this because the Steelers are the only team to not put the “C” patches on the jerseys.

Now cmon man!!!!! Why are you bringing facts into the conversation! In all seriousness this guy is a year removed from throwing for 5200 yards 34 TDS and had his highest Rating since 2014. He has been fat since 2008, hasn’t stopped him from being a HOFer.

Ben loves basketball and was in Morgantown for a top-15 matchup with kansas in town. Who gives a rats behind?

Here's the thing....they are paying him this regardless. Or at least it counts against the cap. They can cut him or trade him, but they are somehow responsible for the "dead cap" money.

Agreed. I don’t blame him for going to KU-WVU instead of 15-9 Pitt vs below-.500 Clemson, and frankly I don’t care.

However, it was funny that I had a few buddies who are KU fans that were talking about Big Ben being there the next day at work. I watched some of it since #30 Agbaji went to high school about 20 minutes down the road from us. Good kid, glad they beat WVU.

Ben is the best thing that ever happened to the city of Pittsburgh other than the Squirrel Hill Tunnel.

He made todays Steelers relevant.

Just look what happened to them when he was injured??????????????????????

And wait to see what happens to the Steelers when he leaves assuming they still have the same coaching staff.

How far is Cleveland to watch NFL games??
