I'm just waiting for a highly rated recruit to announce his top 351 and narrow it by one school each day.
Right up there with the 5 hats on the table but not grab any of them, but grab a hat under the table. At least the 351 idea is pretty creative.
Can you imagine the write up in the teams media guide? “He picked the Panthers over Duke, Kentucky, UNC, Indiana, Arizona, UConn, ... High Point and Coppin State.
It would take up a whole page.

All I’ve heard is that he’s going to hold out for Kentucky as long as possible. If they ever shift focus to him, he’s going to UK. I’m not sure if the other schools involved are going to want to play chicken with Calipari looming, so if we end up with an extra spot in Spring, this could be interesting

You joke but it honestly wouldn't suprise me if we get there somewhere down the line.
When these guys Pitt is after the hardest intend to sign - November or not until April or later - is extremely important. Think HCJC wants to have 3 top targets signed in the early period. Get the right ones signed in the early period and the most intense pressure will be relieved. Then Pitt can choose to be very selective and can focus all their time, energy and efforts on 1 or 2 of their top remaining targets late. If they can get 1 of those trophies late, fantastic. If they don't not such a big deal with the 3 in the fold early.
So hopefully some more good news for Pitt forthcoming between now and the November early BB signing period.
If I’m being highly recruited by dozens of top notch programs why would I hold out to be an afterthought at Ky . If I was the kid I’d say if you want me make me a binding offer or I’m moving on .

One and dones are not made at Ky or Duke they just go to those schools a lot . They're born with a gift to be one and dones !
ps . Just look at Steven Adams , Pitt and JD had absoluetly nothing to do with with him being a one and done lottery pick . If Big Cliff comes to Pitt it will be his natural talent that will determine if he's 1 and done .
Yes and no. Tyler Herro wouldn’t have been a 1 and done had he stuck with Wisconsin. Bigs are different. But at Kentucky they’re less exposed than they would be at Pitt
Adams wasn' t a dynamic player at Pitt .Almost everyone thought he wasn' t ready for the pros after a so so freshman yr . Everyone except those that matter !
Yeah as we've said before on this thread..... the NBA is all about drafting upside.
And Adams was the #5 prospect coming out of HS. Not somewhere around 50 like Cliff is.
What’s hilarious and somewhat ironic is that Steven Adams does essentially the same thing for the Thunder that he did at Pitt for a year only he is getting paid $100,000,000 to do it and yet Jamie still gets these ridiculous “why did he misuse/ruin Steven Adams posts?”. Comical - H2P!
