Big Ruben Brown 2021 HOF nominee

he should. I think he was a 9 time pro bowler but guards don't get the tackle love

He damn well should be in.

I have said the same for years. Ruben Brown was a badass offensive lineman, eight straight Pro Bowl appearances, nine total, four-time 2nd-team All-Pro.

And, he averaged 4 yards per carry......on his one carry against Miami.

Rueben was a mauler and a great OL! He deserves in but having so many in the HOF may work against us on marginal inductees.

I dont know if R Brown will get in the HOF. I dont know enough of the requirements, nuance of voters, etc.

What I do know, is where he played college ball....and how many HOFer's are from that college,

Will have less than zero to do with his getting in or missing the cut.

LESS.THAN.ZERO.

His resume good enough.

meh. played on teams that didn't do anything. guards are REALLY hard to get in. i'd guess faneca gets in before him - don't mean he's better. but faneca played for a higher profile franchise and has a ring. faneca also has 9x pro bowl and 6x first team all pro. and he's not in.

so using this year alone, his competition is logan mankins. i'm sure mankins gets in before ruben.

here are the other OL: Offensive Linemen – Willie Anderson (T), Matt Birk (C), Tony Boselli (T), Lomas Brown (T), Ruben Brown (G), Alan Faneca (G), Kevin Glover (C/G), Jordan Gross (T), Kent Hull (C), Olin Kreutz (C), Tom Nalen (C), Chris Samuels (T), Jeff Saturday (C), Chris Snee (G), Brian Waters (G), Richmond Webb (T), Erik Williams (T), Steve Wisniewski (G).

wisniewski has a pretty similar resume and he's not gotten a sniff.

For those thinking Brown should get in or will get in, consider that right there. Faneca was 6 times first team All Pro and 2 times second team All Pro. He's not in yet. And he's had what, 5 tries already? Brown was 0 times first team All Pro, and 4 times second team. He is way, way, way behind Faneca when it comes to the HOF. If Faneca is having trouble getting in then Brown's chances are slim at best.

Interesting list. As a Bills fan I followed R. Brown’s career and another man on your list; Kent Hull. Jim Kelly once said that Hull was the brains that allowed the K-gun to go. A very underrated player. Jeff Saturday very similar to Hull.
