I said Nelly was better than any guard on the roster back when they started recruiting him and that the team would be better off without Hugley and fede as starting center and people attacked me. Does it bother you I’m always correct?

I figured Hugley would play and the ACC would be good. Now they should get to 10 or 11 and get like a 4 seed in the NIT. Huge success

??? They play 7 scholarship players and Capel teams have collapsed and dropped games they couldn’t have. I use past data to formulate opinions, not blind hope.
Huge game by Burton, one of the top individual Pitt BB performances in a long time.
And definitely needed by him in this one. Because unlike most of our prior games, we weren’t hitting much of anything from outside in this one.
Clutch performance by Hinson down the stretch. Drained that 3 at the beginning of the game and then couldn’t make anything the rest of the way, short on mist of his shots….until draining that tough 3-Ptr down the stretch to give us the lead. And making the clutch FTs as well to maintain that lead.
Unbelievable win. Definitely on a PITT HIGH heading right into Pitt FB!!
Burton was insane and I’m not sure why people think he couldn’t play at UNC. He’s better than either of their guards. They play too loosey goosey. Hubie isn’t Long for that job if he’s gonna try to coach like Roy.
They’re competing. This year you just need to be competitive and recruit. It’s not about this season, it’s about the next 4+
They’re in year 5 with no sign of being good beyond this year. This is the year.
We have seen Capel’s teams play well into January then fall apart going into February and March so I wanna see if that trend stops this season. I think it does. This team just seems to have a different feel about them then those teams that collapsed. I think this Pitt team is pretty good and if they continue to play like they have their first 3 ACC wins they will make the NCCA Tournament easily.

Fs, my suggestion…kick back and enjoy the win, what’s the point of pointing fingers and going back n forth about what someone posted about the team or players in the past.
We’re 3-0 in the ACC and got there by just beating UNC. Life is good, Pitt MBB is good, Pantherlair posters are good!!

We were talking about the same thing. Burton put on a show and i can't remember a better individual performance going back to the glory days. He carried them when they needed it. Unbelievable.

Stating the obvious: Burton has proven to be a really solid player. He's going to be a big loss for us.
Chevy versus uconn is the game that comes to my mind.
I did enjoy the win , his gloating about how right he always is just rubs me the wrong way when just about every one of his posts are negative towards the staff , players and recruits.
With all the Pitt Players opting out what could you expect .

We’ve done such a shitty job with basketball for such a long time that Jamie 1.0 is just so long ago. I was so glad that the WalMart UNC fans were sent home. Those Bastiges thought they were going to roll by at least 20. We had too many sitting in our section.
See that’s just it. You’re always correct on the predictions you admit to. You’re really about 50% on all your predictions.
Might be time for me to get season tickets again if Capel can finally start getting talent! What a fun team to watch!
The goal is being relevant and making NCAA tourneys. Winning the ACC would be a plus. If they can win 10-12 games in the ACC every year and go to the NCAA tournament 3 of 5 years I’d be plenty happy. May not be enough for most on this board but relevant March basketball is all I ask for.
