It should also be noted that the Birmingham Bowl starts at 3:00 on a Thursday afternoon when most people have gone back to work. At least with the games between Christmas and New Year's a lot of people have those days off. Most people are going to be working on the 2nd at 3:00 in the afternoon. You can argue that the bowl games before Christmas are at a worse time, but of all the games after Christmas that one is clearly and obviously the worst.

Ok the weather isn’t better. But the opponent is. Beating a 10-3 bearcat team that just missed a NYD bowl game much better than beating a 6-6 EMU team in Detroit. I don’t think the administration is happy either. Just think they didn’t care enough to fight or thought they would sell more tickets to a game in Detroit.

Well OK. But if they win it would be a boost for the program. Whereas beating EMU does nothing for us where losing or winning a tight game would be extremely harmful in so many ways.
