I can live with them. Please just do not get gunmetal-anthracite coal gray uniforms.

But I agree, not a fan. I get trying to tie hoops into the black and yellow nature of Pittsburgh pro sports as a whole to garner additional local interest, but I don’t think it’s successful.

I don’t think they’re thinking of us when they design unis…it’s about recruits and sales…living here in the land of Nike, Oregon has both great and not so great units, and they sell…

I think it’s a bad look and makes us look like the little brother to the pro teams. We already have too much of that with the Steelers and the football program.
I’m 100% for dinocat throwbacks though. I hope we eventually see those every once in a while. They were ugly but represent some good times.
And when they are doing that, they should throw the all bright yellows in there with them.
The yellow alternates could be good - we’ve had a gold alternate going back to the adidas days.
I’ll just never understand why they decided to do the block “Panthers” instead of the script Panthers that they have along the baseline. The white trim is weird, too.
The women were wearing them this afternoon, and all I could think of was damn, these things are ugly.

Yeah what’s up with those? I agree that both uniforms aren’t very good. I think our alternate panther head logo would look sharp on the front of a jersey.
That’s where I am also. I know I’m in the real minority of this board in regards to uniforms but I don’t care about them in the slightest.
I'm not a huge fan of the black and gold or the big P, but if they win in them, it's all that matters. They could wear pink tutus and if they'd win, i'd be happy.
Kind of wish they would bring back the Paul Evans /Jerome Lane era uniforms back.

I told Charles that I bought a throwback jersey of his to wear while at the beach in France. He appreciated the representing on my part.
Not Pitt colors. Burn ‘em. Black alts are what happens when your AD decides Smurf blue is a good hue.
no fan is buying those, you wont see one of those jerseys ever sold online or in a store.. and no recruit is going to come to pitt all of a sudden because we wear awful uniforms once or twice a year..
They should go back to Block Pitt.

The stand alone P is cool - but more for a hat or baseball uni.
The black n Gold is cool once in awhile - but put a full script on it. Those are two things yinzers love combined.
It’s not as bad as the black uniform with the Pitt you couldn’t see.

Recruits have seemed to like them. They’re usually the uniforms that visiting recruits have picked for the photo shoots that they do.
I agree that the black uniforms would look so much better with the full script "Pitt" on it. They could have a separate alternate uniform that is blue (or maybe put it on the yellow ones) and features the "P" on it.
I do have to say, I love the trim and scratch marks on the Vonteego era jerseys.
That early Nike gear for the Ducks was as good as any, ever. The metallic green helmet with the simple "O" was the best, esp. with a clean green jersey and white pants.
Now it's a race to the basement with silly feathers and such. Phil needs to step away, he looks pretty beat up these days. They do have sweet facilities. My granddaughter went to school there.
