Last week I didn’t have a real good feeling for this game. And even now after being conditioned by 30 years of disappointment I can’t shake all of the bad vibes

However watching Duzz presser and some of the player interviews I have a good feeling the Panthers will play one of their better games.

I like the fact that the offense is coming off of their worst performance and has had extra time to learn from it and prepare for cuse. I expect Pitts offense to have their best game this year and put up over 40 against Cuse I think Bart is going to have a huge game and Rodney will be a factor as well

As far as the D goes the front 7 had their best game against Cal I like the thread of improvement. Cuse clearly is a much bigger challenge so I don’t expect as dominant of a performance but I think they will be able to hold cuse to somewhere around 30 points

7-0 sounds great. HTP

Normally by now, Pitt has Pitted away a couple of sure W"s

But this year the ball has bounced their way and will again tomorrow night

40-34 Pitt

I think this game is going to come down to one critical factor....can Pitt's D-line shut down the run and consistently pressure the QB (without having to constantly blitz). Based on their performance against Cal I think we'll get it done so my prediction:

Pitt - 28
Cuse -24

'Cuse is mostly a passing team so if Pitt can hold their run game to under 75-80, forcing them to be one-dimensional I feel Pitt wins by 10. If 'Cuse is forced to mostly throw, Scott (who I think got a big confidence boost against Cal) and Louis/Biles could have a multiple sack night with Matlack having his usual "hurries" to contribute to a good pass pressure defense.

Enos holding up for an entire game along with Collier adequately filling in for missing OL starters could be a big key to them winning or losing.

I think cuse defense will be amped up with a couple starters returning, and I think we need to take advantage early with their aggressiveness and hit Reid or screen pass to slow the rush down.
Our D has really been playing better, and I think we will have another adequate game, although certainly one of the best QBs we will face this year.
Overall I think the Sr QB will edge the Fr QB 31-30. I really really would love to see us running Holstein early get him hit and get his head in the game early. He has looked more nervous lately, and being on primetime isnt going to help that. The kid is good, needs to just get out there confidently, step into throws and rely on the game film

Of note: Narduzzi is 9-1 after a bye week in his career in the ACC. Coaches usually have a good game plan set out. Just will come down to can we eliminate our own TOs and can we somehow get a few from their QB.

Anyone see Jim Brown on the sideline? Me neither. Pencil me down for a massive panther victory. I would also say pitt could play Fitzgerald bobblehead at one of our wr positions and I think we still win easily.

Hidden stat: Syracuse run defense has yielded some huge numbers

I thought this was a game that Pitt would lose leading up to it, but as of yesterday, my CUSE buddy said their top receiver is expected to be out, and the two key defensive players that have missed some time and were rumored to play are also not looking good. I'm switching to Pitt, but juicing Cuse at +7.5. In Sauls We Trust.

Well…. It’s a Thursday night game, lots of recruits will be there, Fitz bobble head night, national TV, Pitt is ranked…

What could go wrong? 🙄

Still, this season is unlike the ones we’ve grown accustomed to over the years…

Welll. I was right about the over 40 but damn 3 TDS from pick sixes lol

Defense played even better than I expected. They were in McCordd face all night and blanketed his recievers

Even tough MCCord threw for Over 300 yards than was as dominating a performance on D as I’ve seen in a while

Hahahahahahahahahaha. I missed this earlier, but ladies and gentlemen: he has done it again. Have you ever been right on a bet? I've never seen anything like it. We've all had some awful takes, but you're hitting 0.00.
