These Penn st folks are simply out of their minds. They cannot realize what a laughingstock they are across the entire country.
Its the most pathetic thing i have ever seen. Seriously, they should all go see a shrink
If the shrink is in Centre County he is probably bat sh!t crazy too.

Or was that the DA that was part of the corrupt government that allowed Jerry to adopt kids.

In my opinion Gricar didn't have enough to bring charges in '98 but very well may have been about to make a major case when he went missing. From what friends say about Gricar if he found out Sandusky did more than Gricar previously knew he would have been on him like ugly on an ape.

In my opinion this thing involved far more than just the Ped U enablers. I think he got ahold of some really damaging stuff about some powerful people. Powerful men can have nasty things done to people.

This idiot is writing a letter to Ron Cook? A guy that's defended and been a voice for Joe and State at every turn for 25 years? Jesus Christ.
Squirm baby squirm.
I'm sure JoePa is looking up at us right now with a big smile on his face....

Help me out here: if Penn State is indeed paying sexual abuse victims going all the way back to the 1970s, as was discovered this week as part of an ongoing court case, if that's not an acknowledgment of some level of culpability by Penn State what exactly does it mean in practical terms?

I'm not talking about legal disclaimers because we are not in a court of law. I'm asking what that means to you as a human being?

If it's just a matter of them giving away money because they are just that benevolent, where do I sign up?

I think the way you guys typically try to win these debates is to try to frame the argument in very precise and misleading terms.

For example you will say that Joe reported it to his "superiors" therefore he did the right thing. After all, he can't run the legal system.

No, he/they did the legal minimum but it was clearly not the **right** thing because children continued to be abused long after he reported it to his superiors - and by superiors I mean the guys who tried to fire him a few years earlier but whom he threw off his porch and were told to go to hell for daring to challenge his authority.

More to the point, Sandusky continued to bring kids to Penn State bowl games and to the Penn State athletic facilities long after that discussion.

One of my favorites along these lines is "how do you expect Joe to know Jerry was a pedophile when a psychiatrist said he did not exhibit pedophilic behavior when first reported in 1998.". Yeah. Two "psychiatrists" interviewed Sandusky. One, an actual degreed, licensed psychiatrist said he exhibited behavior that is used by pedophiles and the other guy, a counselor who may have been connected to the Second Mile said he did not. Of course, which of the two do you think they chose to use moving forward???

Scary up there.

Yes, actually you are missing everything here. I'm not getting into a you know what contest here, but there are serious facts you need to know. Sandusky was an employee of The Second Mile, not Penn State. Therefore, they were responsible for him. Furthermore, you don't contact the AG, but go through proper channels of reporting.

Finally, everyone in this state should be appalled at the level of corruption and lack of responsibility by state agencies. From the state police, CYS, AG, and a former governor. You believe what you want about Penn State, I could care less. But the fact remains, Sandusky was allowed to adopt children and be a foster parent to many and no authority stopped him. Not one single person has been held accountable for any of that, and nothing has changed in the state of Pennsylvania except more corruption. And if you think Louis Freeh is honest or any of his work made a difference, I've got swamp land in Florida to sell ya. There is a lot more to come. Those that look honestly know that because they realize every party has fought discovery.

You say a couple different times you don't care what any of us think yet here you are telling us how "wrong" we are. You should say on BWI where some of you can convince others how Sandusky was innocent, and the rest of you can talk yourself into believing Paterno never heard about 1998. Only at Penn State is the Freeh Report bought and paid for, but the Paterno Report is an unbiased account explaining everything away. The fact of the matter is that you guys nor Paterno are victims no matter how much you make yourselves out to be.

Gricar was a very well respected prosecutor in this neck of the woods. He was really good too. But above all, the guy was very smart.

My guess is he knew what would happen if and when this garbage saw the light of day outside of Happy Valley, so he made sure his hard drive was un-recoverable, tossed the computer in the river, took one good last look around, and walked away into oblivion. Way easier than having to be the punching bag for an entire fan base.

And quite frankly I believe he was hit. Maybe by some random thug he put away years earlier. More likely by someone hired to keep the lid on a major bombshell about to be made public. Making sure the computer and hard drive disappear is the mark of a professional. Gricar was on his way to meet someone about something. It was probably a set up.

A very well respected prosecutor doesn't walk away into another life because he knows some horrible stuff. He follows it and prosecutes it.

Wish I knew for sure. Maybe the world wasn't ready for the truth.

Sandusky was not employed by Penn State.
Woe, woe, woe.......hold those Horses Hotshoes???? Sandusky was hired in 1960s, about 1968 as an Assistant Coach and Sanduslky was awarded his Pension from Pennsylvania Pension Plan from the worked he did at Penn State?

He was employed by The Second Mile. He was not a volunteer. He was bringing children to Penn State from the Second Mile while employed by them. This is not an employee off the job doing volunteer work. The Second Mile was responsible for their employees on the job just like any other company.
I agreed after he retired from Penn State in 1999 and even during he was raising and being paid money from The Second Mile and The Second Mile was never fully or properly investigated by Frank Fina and some think because of Prosecution Misconduct and Corbett taking Campaign Money & Giving State Grants (Later Revoked) and subsequent erasures of PAOAG files, Emails, and Notes before AG Kane took over, and led to finding Prosecutors & Judges sending porn and doing Ex-Parte Communications while overseeing and prosecuting other State Employees on State Time using State Computers, and Grand Juries Leaking every where like having a screen door open on a Submarine?

This is another reason why the Media is all over this too, it is not just about Paterno anymore, it about more that thought it was all buried and gone away, but it is BACK!

If true that Joe & Sue also took Vacations with The Second Mile, still not a good thing for revelations in a Court Case?

Hotshoes keep posting all Posters together and with media and future cases an learn, share, and find the truth together!

Plus, we have a great game coming up!

I try to make the offense something less vile and emotionally disgusting and then consider whether PoSU's actions made sense. Let's say Jerry was stealing change out of Joep's desk. Another coach busts JS, the police investigate and decide not to press charges. As time goes by Joe sees his change disappearing and another coach busts JS taking the change. Would JS still have unfettered access to Joe's office? Of course not! He would have been fired and maybe even publically humiliated.
Yet assaulting children for forty years while being busted by six asst Coaches and at least two janitors doesn't get your keys taken away? C'mon!
