I think there is a decent chance he returns next year.
Him not replicating his numbers from last year and the fact that there is a lot of good wideouts make me question whether or not he will be a first rounder this yr.
Stay another year with the possibly of Connor coming back along w/ peterman could make him possibly a mid first rounder if he can put up good numbers.

It would be great to have all three of those guys back next year given that the schedule looks like fun but tougher than this year.
I say with those three returning we'd be a top 20 team BUT what are the odds of all three coming back. With Peterman back maybe Boyd will stay and Conner needs a good college year to increase his NFL draft position and NFL salary. A good college year for Boyd and Conner could increase earning a lot but the risk of injury is a concern.
What say the Pitt forum experts?

Personally I think Boyd should be an easy first round pick, but there's ALOT of wideouts this year that have some impressive numbers.
Coleman from Baylor is very good so is the guy from TCU.

Wide receiver is tough to evaluate what a particular team is looking for. If he is exactly what a team is looking for he will go high, if not 2nd round. Curtis Martin left early and was a 3rd round pick, Pro Football Hall of Famer. (Johnny Majors tried to talk him out of coming out)

Boyd is running Routes that are being run in the NFL right now, unlike at other Programs. He is ready for the Pros, but like you said, this is a big year for Wideouts!

Boyd would be even more special next year and there are Insurance Policies that are allow to be taken out in case of injuries.

I am telling you now, Boyd will talk to Fitzgerald, Harris, Richard Mann of the Steelers and Experts and make the right call for himself and God Bless he came to PITT!

Still with that said, I would not rule out Coach Narduzzi being very persuasive with Boyd and Conner to come back to Pitt!

Coach Narduzzi is a Special Recruit/Players Coach no one can say otherwise, and Boyd & Conner have been Special Players at Pitt as well. This is a Special Team of players that have had Wannstedt, Graham, Chryst and now Narduzzi as Coaches.

It was Narduzzi that taught all Pitt Players on how not to QUIT ON PITT, was it not?

A Coach that stayed in the Players Dorm has come to know them and them him! These Players are more special than we all know, and together, they may just surprise all Pitt Fans again, just like they did this year!

JUST A HUNCH!

Narduzzi has already said he will not try to convince players to stay, and given how much he seems to value pointing out the Pitt-to-pros success stories, there is no reason to doubt him.

Just curious about this.
If Conner and Boyd hang on to the last minute to make their decisions does that hurt recruiting their positions? They certainly have earned the right to make their decision when they feel its the right time.
Thanks for your input.

He is certainly no guarantee to be a 1st rd pick. He has a tough drcision ahead of him, I could see him choosing either option.

They aren't GMs, but I've seen a couple of "draft experts" talk about Boyd as a No. 3 receiver and a second or third round pick. Based on his production this season, I think that is about right. Without any other major weapons on the team, he wasn't the type of guy to take over a game. Don't get me wrong, he is an excellent player and one of Pitt's greats, but looking at him as a future 1st-round talent, I don't see it based on this season.
