Bracket Matrix

100 out of 102 people have us in the tourney. Pretty good odds.

And the 2 brackets that don't both have Pitt as their "First Team Out", with Florida and/or Tulsa included in the field. If they would have updated them after March 11, Pitt likely sneaks in.

It is just weird how we went from bubble to really on the bubble to solid lock, after not playing for 3 days. Hey, I'll take it. But weird.

Maybe after people saw how North Carolina completely destroyed Notre Dame and yet Pitt hung with the Tar Heels for 3 quarters it swayed many to put Pitt in. Crazy thought I know but it's been a crazy year.

I think Lunardi has made it seem more volatile than it was.

They've been pretty safe on BracketMatrix all along (6-7 team cushion between them and the cut line) and the other mainstream bracketologists from CBS, Sporting News, and SI have had them on the 8/9 line pretty much since the Duke win.

Lunardi's update yesterday brought him in line with everybody else, he'd been kind of on an island with his bubble situation.

Looks like this was the case. I did say that yesterday, he seemed to be overreacting to the results of every contest.

you wonder if anybody whose on the committee has a desire just to mix things up to show up the bracket experts

Bracket Matrix cut out a lot of brackets. I guess they weren't updated so now they have 58. 57 out of 58 has us in. Here's the one that doesn't

He has Temple as last team in and Pitt as first team out.

Dayton still remains a good possibility. I have us ahead of 8 teams. The Bracket Matrix compilation has us over 6 but that was before VCU's destruction today. But, when you're that close, there is a very real chance we can be playing Tuesday or Wednesday.

For me, best case scenario is to avoid Kansas, Michigan State, Oregon State, and Oklahoma in R32. That means I'm hoping for a 10 seed with Nova or Xavier the 2. That would be most ideal.

Next, I'd like to avoid Dayton but I'd rather go to Dayton to play for an 11 seed than have a guaranteed R32 loss to a 1 seed.
