at Sacramento State, one of the better FCS programs. Sacramento State is making a huge push to be the 8th team in the Pac 12, promising a new stadium, and having raised $30 million for NIL. I think its probably between them and Texas State unless some of those AAC schools like Memphis and Tulane change their mind. Sacramento is one of the largest markets in the country without an FBS program.

Congratulate your son on our behalf, Mrs Marion.

That NIL "fact" isn't true.

That NIL "fact" isn't true.
You're right. SAC State has apparently raised closer to 60 million for NIL.

I never like to validate an SMF post, but when he posted that number I had to Google it up. I thought it would be fictional or at least much lower than 30 mill.

But, it's SAC State--so, as another poster so eloquently put it, who cares?

The SAC-12’s efforts to lift Sacramento State athletics into the FBS continue to pick up steam.

According to State Hornet Sports and Front Office Sports, the SAC-12 announced on Monday that it has reached its initial goal of raising $50 million in NIL funds to strengthen the school’s case for an invitation to the PAC-12 or Mountain West conference.

Now, the group has a new goal: $75 million.

NIL deals (name, image, and likeness) allow college athletes to monetize their personal brand and endorsements through a variety of activities, including autograph signings, product endorsements, social media posts, and much more.

With nearly $60 million in NIL funds secured, we’ll see how far the SAC-12 can go in aiding an already-announced new Sacramento State football stadium with the financial elements that could entice FBS-level talent.

On a side note, Mike Vick may go down as one of the all-time dumbest college coaching hires ever made. He is no more qualified to coach a college football team than he is to lead an orchestra.

But I guess if you're Norfolk State, why not?

You understand that this probably isn't actual dollars in hand. Likely pledged monies that may or may not actually be realized.

Norfolk State hasn't had a winning season in well over a decade.

It's an attention grabbing hire that is creating a Buzz here in the 757. It's a hire that I also don't take very seriously, but for Norfolk State, it's hard to see a real downside here.

Again, that's the same incorrect information being spread and "reported" as fact.

Why do we believe Stewart Mandel over Adam Schefter? They do seem to be officially reporting that they have raised that money, crazy as it seems. The are also building a new stadium (25000 seat).
One covers college football. One is a mouthpiece for nfl agents

I read on the internet that all of those drones were actually sent all over the world by Alliance 412 to beam NIL dollars into their fundraising. Pitt now has a hundred million billion dollars to keep Eli.

I'm shocked @Sean Miller Fan didn't post this already.

And as the old saying goes, he’s certainly not qualified to be a dog catcher.

In other news Norfolk State hires Michael Vick who has zero coaching experience as HC 🤦‍♂️
