I do think you are thinking of someone else though, according to rivals Garner has a ton of offers but from lower level schools. I think Cincy is probably the top, although he has interest from many others schools and performed great at the Pitt camp, plus he is considered one of the linch pin for the #412crew guys.

huh? According to Rivals, we are the only P5 school that offered. It would be a major major upset if this kid chooses to play small-time college football at some place like Cincy, Temple, or a MAC school. Come on.

This kinda reminds me of the Terrish Webb situation. Pitt was the only major offer and some said he was offered just to sway Boyd. Now, some are saying Garner may be part of a bigger package of players who want to go to school together (412Crew). PSU isn't going to take Garner as they dont have room for him which prompted Gattis to tweet something about not choosing schools as package deals. They want some of Garner's boys, but not Garner. I'm sure James from State College thinks he can get them without Garner. We'll see.

But, I cant imagine how Garner doesnt commit to us. It would send up major red flags if he doesnt.

Exactly. It's worth a shot. To say where Garner ends up has absolutely no influence on his friends/teammates decisions (Hamlin, Wheeler) is idiotic. It may prove to be worth it.

My thoughts too. But remember that KDKA runs 3 freaking hours of news each day from 4 to 7, they have to fill the time with something. There are only so many Steelers feel-good non-stories they can concoct. "Here's Charlie Batch at a dog shelter!"
