Huge news. First Euro league to start back up.

No fans allowed as Germany has banned mass gatherings until at least August 31 which is noteworthy since they did the best job in the West of containing the spread. Parts of the US were ravaged and some think we are going to let 100K pack stadiums in a few months

I noticed ESPN is going to broadcast some KBO. Korean Baseball. They have already started. I hate baseball, but what the hell, it's a live sport, might as well see what it looks like. :)

I hate baseball but I watched the opener yesterday. It was boring AF though. Dont think I could do it again.

I guess just for the novelty of it, I could take a look, I remember a few years back watching some Japanese baseball, just to see what it looked like.

I never watch Bundesliga either, but I will watch it now, based on the circumstances.

At least watching Bundesliga, you're watching some of the best soccer players in the world, and they have some good storylines being so deep into the season. Three team race for the title, two teams fighting for the final Champs League spot.

Only draw back is the empty stadiums. It will take away some of the lore.

The EPL gets all the love but some argue that the Bundesliga and La Liga are better leagues. Not sure I agree but its right there.

I think the EPL just recently made themselves equal or better than La Liga and Bundesliga.

Liverpool and Man City are the heavy hitters right now in Europe. Champs final and Europa 2019 were all EPL clubs. Leicester and Wolves look like they can compete with the top teams in England/Wales, which would give EPL 8 or 9 upper tier clubs.

That being said, Bundesliga and La Liga are no slouches.

Germany is what competent national leadership looks like.

My first choice of a German club would be St. Pauli in the 2nd division. I suggest if you aren't familiar with them, to look them up on YouTube. Really unique club that embraces punk rock, are anti-fascist, and a fan first club.

Easy pick would be Dortmund, black and gold and have Reyna, possibly the best US prospect, but I will go with Eintracht Frankfurt in the first division though. I was able to watch them in person when they came to Philadelphia to play the Union two years ago.

Dortmund is so much like the Steelers in terms of culture, blue-collar aspect of the town, fan passion, even colors.

I went to a Mainz game a few years ago when I was in Germany. Cool experience. They arent one of the better clubs though.

This is Bundesliga 2, their lower divison though. It brings up an interesting discussion though. What do you do if 1 player tests positive? The NFL is going to play, most likely without fans but what are they going to do if 1 of their 60 or so players (including practice squad) tests positive?

The virus in Germany is at very low levels thanks to incredible government management while in the US, although its declined in a few hotspots, its plataued and not declining overall so if its here at these levels or close to it in the fall, I dont see the NFL wont have players test positive. Then, what do you do? Cancel 2 weeks?
