I love Buzz (who doesnt) but I'm glad he's gone. VT shouldn't be that good in basketball. It is basically Penn State basketball in every way before he got there. Campus, location, history, fanbase, football first, etc. I just hope they hire some mid-major lottery ticket who ends up sucking (you never know what you will get with those guys) than someone like Cronin or Greg Marshall or someone like that. Their AD is a beast.

Well they're probably going to hire Cronin, so I don't think the dropoff will be steep.

Yea as I called months ago. There will be no drop-off with Cronin. VT wont be Sweet 16 every year with either Buzz or Cronin but with either they are an NCAAT team 4 out of 5 years and with UNC, Duke, UVa, Lou, Syr, and VT with guaranteed bids. That only leaves 1-3 bids for the other 9 teams and that's not enough which is why we need VT to come back with the rest of us.

That would be good news for us. They will be in the bottom 4 of the ACC in the near future with him as their HC.

Hoping its Willard and not Cronin. Willard has been recruiting well but he's not good at coaching. Buzz and Mick are both.

Buzz has always said, he does what is best for his family. Never played the game of telling everyone he was committed. Always has an eye on something bigger.
