I know you have directv.Do you realize that espn full court and gameplan have been discontinued? They (dtv) claim they will still offer most of the games that would normally be on those packages with the Sports Pak sub.I assume you have that? The games will be on Channels 788 -798.Do you have a HD receiver? I don't...Don't think we'll need one.At least I hope not..

Yes we had a long discussion about GamePlan on the pay board. I don't have the Sports Pack but will get it when the season starts. Yes my receiver is HD, but many of the hoops and football feeds weren't in HD and they were very chopped off and grainy, but still better than nothing. What I need to do somehow is get ESPN3 set up, but my ISP doesn't offer it and I don't have a cell phone (yes there are still people around that don't). Too old school I guess.

You can get espn3 though dtv now.I had the same problem you did..My isp didn't offer it...Just go to watchespn.com and chose dtv as your cable provider and simply enter your e-mail and password and that should get you up and running.

Yes, but won't it still have to download through my ISP/e-mail address which doesn't provide ESPN3? So I go to watchespn.com, select dtv, then enter my e-mail address and e-mail password (or do I have to make a dtv online account and use that password?), then I can watch ESPN3 games on my computer even though my ISP doesn't subscribe? No $$ involved, nothing to buy?

That's all I did...You basically get espn3 just for being a dtv customer.

Did you try it yet? Have you talked to anyone from dtv on how this new college games on sports pack is going to work? I e-mailed but have yet to hear back.Is it going to be select espn3 games on those channels? You would think there would be a lot of ACC games since we technically don't have a network on tv yet. That would be the saving grace if and when the ACC network ever comes around.

I tried it, but it didn't work with my e-mail address and e-mail password. Guess I'll have to open up a dtv account online and try that way.

I have one...I signed up for that years ago.You can pay your bill and check account balances on the dtv website.I find it nice to see when your monthly bill payment was received. They also e-mail you with that info now as well...I've been with dtv since Nov.of 1999.I had Primestar from 1995 til 1999.1995 was when the early writing was on the wall for me that the big dishes were going out.I miss those backfeeds that was a fun way to watch the games...

Once you use your DirecTV account to open watchespn.com, do you have to download any of those apps they show to watch on Windows 8? Or once you're logged in, you can just go to the game , click on it, and watch it?

Black Panther, I made an account with DirecTV, and now it seems that I can watch ESPN3 with the watchESPN channel. Thanks very much for the tip, since my local ISP will never ever pay the $$ to subscribe to ESPN3. Now to see if it works for the YSU game!
