This is very positive news. The LB'r group has gotten better
the past few years. Campbell and Pine both returning will
join Bright, Davis, and Dennis as all potential starters. Those
five have all started in the past. Two of them who won't start
along with George, who has also started, will give this group
real talented depth not seen here lately. The other backups
are also talented and can be brought along slowly.
I thought last year's group was better than expected. This
year's group will be even better yet, and a team strength.
The new LB'r coach will be working with a great group.
It's the best LB group we've had here in a long time. I think Davis is better than Pine, and Dennis is a star in the making. Campbell and Bright are solid players.
Davis is our best LB and will start along with Campbell and Dennis/Bright will alternate .......imho
I agree, but since you made some personal choices,
go ahead and give your opinion who the three
starters will be.
My opinion,,,,,,Campbell, Bright and Dennis are the
three best. I'm not sure if that's the best combination
though.
With this amount of depth at LB'r, would a 3 Down
Lineman and 4Lb'rs be a possibility some of the time?
I’m pretty sure players who graduated do not count against the 85. Campbell would not count against the 85.Wonder how guys deciding to stay messes with the scholarship numbers? Not an issue for Pitt because of the guys who left early but some schools might have problems.
The kid wasn't a starter most of the year and still made all ACC. I am actually excited about some of the freshmen linebackers to be honest.Dennis appears to be their best LB and I’m not sure number 2 (whoever it is) is close. He needs to be on the field as much as possible.
