Article Can a Pitt LB do something that hasn't been done in almost 10 years?

Isn't it the norm for a DLineman to get more tackles for loss than a LB? Simply by the nature of where they line up. Unless you have a LB that blitzes as often as not [Zeke Gadson].
In a properly constructed and manned D a DL guy should get more tackles for a loss but good LB's should have more tackles than DL guys unless the DL guy is some kind of superstar. DL guys keep the OL guys off the LB's so they can read the play and make a lot of tackles around the line of scrimmage!

Tackles for sure. Tackles for loss not so much.
